Overview:
LDAO’s mission is to provide leadership in advocacy, research, education and services and to advance the full participation of children, youth and adults with learning disabilities in today’s society.
Program Investment by United Way:
1. Learning Disabled Adult Support
This program provides support and networking opportunities for adults living with Learning Disabilities and/or co-morbid disabilities such as Attention Deficit Disorder. As part of this program, adults discuss and develop strategies around everyday concerns including diagnosis, acceptance, employment and medication. Throughout the year, revlevant professionals from the community are invited to present to this group.
