Overview:

The Niagara Women’s Enterprise Centre provides technical assistance, training and subsidies to unemployed and underemployed women wanting to achieve economic independence through employment or creating their own business in the food and hospitality industry.

Program Investment by United Way:
1. Banquet Server Certificate Program
This is a three week certificate employment program targeted to unemployed women who are newcomers to Canada. Participants will learn the skills of a professional banquet server such as serving styles, tray handling and guest service and will take part in a volunteer work placement in a relevant work setting. The program will also provide employment preparation workshops, guest speakers, field trips, and individual pre-employment sessions. Participants will receive Smart Serve, Super Host, WHMIS and Safe Food Handling certificates upon completion of their program.
