Overview:
Provides interim housing, counselling and educational services to women and children who have left abusive situations, helping them develop skills needed to lead independent lives.

Program Investment by United Way:
1. Housing and Counselling
Provides housing to women and children who have fled abusive situations. Women in need pay rent according to their income and they may stay for up to one year. A counsellor visits the client in her home weekly or as needed, offering her help and support while she makes the legal, financial and emotional changes for their own and their children's healing. These counsellors are also available for abused women in the community who may not need housing.
