Backpacks For Kids
This annual program provides free backpacks filled with school supplies to 2,300 less-advantaged youth throughout the region at the beginning of the school year.
Winter Warmth
Provides energy grants to families and/or individuals living at/or below the poverty line. United Way acts as a trustee of the grants and collaborates with community partners administering the Winter Warmth program.
Niagara Knowledge Exchange
United Way is among thirty community volunteers that are working together to form the framework for a digital knowledge-sharing platform that will enhance evidence-informed, Niagara-focused community planning. The Niagara Research and Planning Council (NRAPC) is facilitating this process.
